Making cakes is an art of baking. It’s a desert which an enormously rich taste to your mouth. In history, the cake was considered as a modified form of bread. But now with the advancement of food and baking industry, it is much more than just a modified bread. Baking is a huge industry just like any other. There is a lot of demand of cakes. Any event, of any value is incomplete without these yummy treats. The basic ingredients used in a cakes are flour, eggs, baking powder, oil or butter, sugar. These are used in every cake but some other ingredients are also added according to the type of cake being baked. Coco powder is added in case of chocolate cakes and other flavours are also added in case of other cakes. Some other flavouring includes the nuts, fruits and different extracts like vanilla and many other extracts. After baking the sponge, it is cut into layers and different layering items including nuts fruits and creams are used in layers. After this it is then iced with differently flavoured icing.
Cake is of many different kinds and flavours. Some of these are simple sponge cakes. These are then also topped with sugar syrup and dried roasted nuts including almonds. Other cakes are cream cakes. These are topped with icings of different flavours like vanilla. These are also layered with cream and fruits like pineapple and strawberries. In these cakes, the sponge can also be flavoured with different syrups like strawberry syrup. Other cakes are chocolate cakes. In this coco powder is added in sponge and it is then covered with melted chocolate.
